Lanark County OPP investigating home invasion, gunshots

The Lanark County Detachment of the Ontario Provincial Police (OPP) is investigating a home invasion at a residence in Carleton Place last night.

On March 27, 2021, at approximately 10:00 p.m., officers were called to a home on Townline Road East between Bridge Street and James Street. The investigation revealed that shots had been fired inside a residence. Minor injuries were reported but those were not related to the gunshots. The involved firearm has been recovered by police and there is no concern for the safety of the general public.
