New clerk hired for Lanark County

Lanark County Council has authorized the hiring of Jasmin Ralph to fill the clerk’s position for Lanark County effective Feb. 1, 2022.

“We are pleased to welcome Jasmin to the county,” said CAO Kurt Greaves. “She brings a great deal of experience in municipal operations and will be a valuable addition to our team.”

Ralph comes to the Lanark County position from Montague Township, where she has been Clerk Administrator since 2018 and was Clerk from 2015 to 2018. She brings experience in overall management of executive municipal operations, including statutory and procedural, regulatory compliance, records management, health and safety, communications, planning, restructuring, council procedures and operations, strategic planning, emergency management and more. She also worked as Economic Development Coordinator for the Town of Carleton Place for three years prior to joining Montague Township and holds a Master’s in Public Administration from Western University and a Bachelor of Arts in Political Science from Brock University.

“I am excited to join the team at the county,” Ralph said. “I am passionate about providing effective public service to the municipality, council and the public. I am overjoyed to be part of providing this to the residents of the County of Lanark.”

Warden John Fenik (Perth Mayor) congratulated Ralph. “The role of county clerk is key to municipal administration. Jasmin is bringing many skills to the county and we look forward to working with her this capacity.”
