One driver deceased after motorcycle collision

The Leeds County Detachment of the Ontario Provincial Police (OPP) responded to a single motorcycle collision where the operator was pronounced deceased on-scene.

Members of the OPP were dispatched to the collision on March 13, 2024, around 4:30 p.m. It occurred at the intersection of Ritz Road, Troy Lake Road and Jones Falls Road – otherwise known as County Road 11 – located just west of Morton.

Lifesaving measures were immediately taken, however the operator of the motorcycle succumbed to his injuries. He has been identified as a 21-year-old man from the Kingston area.

OPP Collision Reconstructionists and members of the Traffic Collision Investigation Team continue to assist Leeds County OPP officers with the investigation.
