Lanark County OPP lays multiple charges in Perth intimate partner violence case that unfolded over several months
PERTH — The Lanark County Detachment of the Ontario Provincial Police (OPP) has laid charges following an intimate partner violence investigation.
Lanark County OPP officers began an investigation on Tuesday, September 30, 2025, relating to incidents between January and September 2025
As a result of the investigation, a 29-year-old male from Perth has been charged with:
- Assault – two counts
- Assault with a weapon – three counts
- Assault causing bodily harm – three counts
- Forcible entry – two counts
- Break and Enter
- Trespass at night – three counts
The accused was held in custody for a bail hearing and is scheduled to appear before the Ontario Court of Justice in Perth.
The name of the accused will not be released to protect the identity of the victim.
