Kingston police locates wanted male from Smiths Falls
On August 7th, 2025 Smiths Falls Police with the assistance of Kingston Police arrested a subject wanted on an outstanding bench warrant.
47 year old Bryan MORDY failed to appear in court on outstanding charges. The accused held in custody for a bail court hearing.
Breach investigation results in arrest
On August 14th, 2025 Smiths Falls Police were alerted to a possible breach of court conditions in relation to previous animal cruelty charges. Members of the Smiths Falls Police attended the scene and arrested the suspect without incident.
As a result of the investigation, 31 year old Neil TROUSDALE stands charged with failure to comply with undertaking (x1) and breach of order prohibiting keeping of animals (x1). The accused was held in custody for a bail court hearing.
Arrest made after bail violation
On August 14th, 2025 Smiths Falls Police received information regarding a suspect in breach of their bail release program. Members of Smiths Falls Police commenced an investigation into the matter. The suspect was quickly located and arrested without incident.
As a result of the investigation, 23 year old Britlee WATTS stands charged with failing to comply with their release order. The accused was held in custody for a bail court hearing.
One arrested as result of an intimate partner violence investigation
On August 15th, 2025 Smiths Falls Police received a 9-1-1 call for an intimate partner violence incident taking place. Members responded to the area immediately to begin the investigation. On August 15th, 2025 the outstanding suspect surrendered to police without further incident.
As a result of the investigation a 39 year old male stands charged with uttering threats (x2), assault with a weapon (xl) and taking a motor vehicle without consent (x1). The accused was held in custody for a bail hearing.
Theft of electricity charge laid
On August 15th, 2025 Smiths Falls Police members were dispatched to a residential area after receiving a report of ongoing issues with neighbours stealing electricity. Upon arrival members commenced the investigation.
As a result of the investigation, 37 year old Chelsea GRACZOL stands charged with theft of electricity (x1). The accused was released on an appearance notice with a scheduled court date.
Impaired driver arrested on traffic stop
On August 17th, 2025 a member of the Smiths Falls Police initiated a traffic stop on a vehicle that was observed to be driving irregularly. It was quickly determined the driver was showing signs of impairment and was arrested on scene without further incident.
As a result of the investigation, 29 year old Michael RADFORD stands charged with operation while impaired (x1), operation while impaired with blood alcohol concentration over 80mg (x1), mischief (x1) and multiple provincial driving related offences. The accused was later released with conditions and a scheduled court date.
Wanted male arrested on two outstanding warrants
On August 20th, 2025 Smiths Falls Police arrested a wanted suspect who surrendered themselves to police without incident. The warrants were issued as a result of two intimate partner violence investigations back in March 2025.
A 40 year old male stands charged with failing to comply with probation order
(x2), mischief (x1), and break, enter a place (x1). The accused was held in custody pending a bail court hearing.
Traffic stop leads to drug charges
On August 21st, 2025 a member of the Smiths Falls Police initiated a traffic stop in relation to a highway traffic act offence. Upon further investigation the driver was confirmed to be wanted on a warrant by a neighboring policing agency. The driver was arrested at the scene. Incident to the arrest, the driver was also found to be in possession of suspected drugs.
As a result of this investigation, 18 year old Cole Ferguson stands charged with possession of a schedule I substance (x1) and provincial driving related charges. The accused was later released with conditions and a scheduled court date.
Arrest made in robbery investigation
On August 12th, 2025 at approximately 0226 a.m. Smiths Falls Police received information of an attempted a robbery, where the suspect brandished a knife towards a taxi driver. Members of the Smiths Falls Police responded to the scene immediately. The suspect was identified through security footage and a warrant was obtained.
On August 22nd, 2025 members of Smiths Falls Police were on a proactive patrol and located the wanted suspect. The suspect was subsequently arrested without incident.
As a result of the investigation, 36 year old Robert WILKINSON stands charged with armed robbery (x1), possession of a weapon for dangerous purpose (x1) and disguise with intent (x1). The accused was held in custody pending a bail court hearing.
The charges in these matters have not been proven in court.
