Smiths Falls’ Jake MacMillan wins national dart championships

During the council meeting in Smiths Falls on Tuesday night, Mayor Shawn Pankow extended congratulations to local dart player Jake MacMillan.

“I want to recognize Jake MacMillan who participated in the national dart championships on June 26,” the Mayor said, announcing that Smiths Falls’ Jake MacMillan won the national darts championship which was held in Quebec June 26. 

The close game between MacMillan and fellow Ontarian Larry Turner is available on YouTube; search for 2023 Canadian National Mens Singles Final. Council burst into a round of applause when watching MacMillan’s winning throw. “Congratulations, Jake! Awesome performance,” Mayor Pankow said.

“MacMillan will be representing Canada at the world championships in Denmark this September,” added the Mayor.
