Smiths Falls police arrest two in home invasion, lay charges in multiple investigations

Intimate Partner Violence charges laid

On July 17th, 2025 Smiths Falls Police received information of an intimate partner violence incident that just occurred inside a residence. Members of the Smiths Falls Police responded to the scene to begin the investigation.

As a result of the investigation, a 55 year old male from Smiths Falls stands charged with assault (x1) and assault cause bodily harm (x1). The accused was held in custody for a bail court hearing.

Two suspects arrested from July 13th home invasion investigation

On July 18th, 2025 members of the Smiths Falls Police, including the SFPS Criminal Investigation Unit attended a residence and successfully arrested two wanted suspects. The suspects were wanted from the July 13th home invasion investigation.

33 year old Zachary GRAHAM of Smiths Falls was arrested and charged with mischief under $5000 (x1), assault (x1), robbery with theft (x1), break and enter dwelling (x1) and uttering threats to cause death or bodily harm (x1). The accused was held in custody for a bail court hearing

36 year old Chelsea HILL of Smiths Falls was arrested and charged with mischief under $5000 (x1), assault (x1), robbery with theft (x1), break and enter dwelling (x1), uttering threats to cause death or bodily harm (x1) and breaching their recognizance (x1). The accused was held in custody for a bail court hearing.

The remaining suspect, Christopher SAUVE remains at large. Anyone with information regarding this incident or the whereabouts of the suspect are urged to call Smiths Falls Police Service or anonymously call through Crime stoppers.

Proactive patrol leads to shoplifter’s arrest

On July 20th, 2025 a member of the Smiths Falls Police Service was on a proactive patrol outside a local business when staff alerted the officer of a theft in progress. The suspect was arrested at the scene without incident. As a result of the investigation, 42 year old Jeffrey PETERS of Smiths Falls has been charged with theft under $5000 (x1) and failing to comply with their probation order (x1). The accused was held in custody for a bail court hearing.

Wanted male arrested without incident after negotiations with police

On July 20th, 2025 Smiths Falls Police Service attended a local residence to arrest a wanted suspect. The wanted male was confirmed to be in a motorhome parked in the driveway. After a brief negotiation with officers on scene, the suspect surrendered to police without incident.

The 30 year old Smiths Falls male was wanted from a May 2025 intimate partner violence investigation where a warrant was issued. The accused stands charged with mischief under $5000 (x2), Assault (x1), take motor vehicle without consent (x1), failing to comply with probation order (x2), operation while prohibited (x1) and numerous provincial offences.

One arrested from assault investigation

On June 30th, 2025 Smiths Falls Police Service commenced an investigation into a report of an assault. On July 21st, 2025 the suspect was located and arrested.

As a result of the investigation, 33 year old Justin DONOVAN-BIOSCOPE stands charged with assault (x1), uttering threats (x1) and failing to comply with probation (x1). The accused was later released with conditions and a scheduled court date.
