Almonte (Mississippi Mills)

Almonte Farmers’ Market
Saturday, Sept. 20, 8:30 a.m. to 12:30 p.m., beside the library on High Street. Local produce, crafts, food and sharpshooting knife sharpening. 

Lanark County Fall Seedling Giveaway
Saturday, Sept. 20, 9 a.m. to noon, at the Almonte Depot, 4752 County Road 29. While supplies last. Maximum 10 seedlings per household. Please bring a bag or box to take your seedlings home.

Carleton Place

Carleton Place Farmers’ Market
Saturday, Sept. 20, 8:30 a.m. to 12:30 p.m., Market Square Pavilion, 7 Beckwith Street. Local produce, baking and handmade treasures. 

Movie in the Park: Lilo and Stitch
Saturday, Sept. 20, 7 to 9 p.m. at 42 Moore St., Carleton Junction. Bring a blanket or chair.

Lyndhurst

Turkey Fair
Saturday, Sept. 20, 10 a.m. to 4:30 p.m. The main street will close to traffic and people will flock to this picturesque hamlet from miles around. The annual turkey fair is a free day of fun for the entire family. There is a scavenger hunt where visitors collect turkey tracks for prizes. (You’ll have to see it to believe it!) There will be lots of live entertainment, vendors lining the streets, kids’ games, and so much more. This event has been an annual treat since the last time the Blue Jays won the World Series (1993). 

Maberly

Willow Creek Stables
Saturday, Sept. 20, 6:30 p.m. Concert at the ABC Hall, Maberly, Music by Jebb’s Creek Collective. Benefitting Willow Creek Stables, Perth. Tickets are $20 each and available at Tickets Please. Please come and enjoy a great night of music while helping support Willow Creek Stables through this difficult time.

Montague

Grand Reopening of the Montague Township office
Saturday, Sept. 20, 11 a.m. to 1 p.m., 6547 Roger Stevens Drive. Meet and greet, Sparky will be out, walk through the new complex, enjoy a barbecue lunch. Ribbon cutting at 11 a.m. 

Perth

Perth Farmers’ Market
Saturday, Sept. 20, 8 a.m. to 1 p.m., at Crystal Palace. Riverside setting with produce, prepared foods and artisan crafts.

Book Launch by Arlene Stafford Wilson
Saturday, Sept. 20 from noon to 3 p.m. at The Book Nook, 60 Gore St. E., Perth.

Lanark County Tree Seedling Giveaway
Saturday, Sept. 20, 9 a.m. to noon, at the Lanark County building, 99 Christie Lake Rd. While supplies last. Maximum 10 seedlings per household. Please bring a bag or box to take your seedlings home.

Open Air Market
Friday, Sept. 19, 3 to 7 p.m. at Centennial Park, 2-22 Confederation Dr. Pick up some produce, check out the crafters and artisans. Food available on site. 

Lombardy Kioti Pro Rodeo

Hallow’s Express at RMEO
Saturday, Sept. 20, 2 to 8 p.m. at 90 William St. W. at the Railway Museum of Eastern Ontario. Join the wizardry fun and don’t forget your magic wand. Tickets available via Eventbrite or at RMEO.

WestPorch Music Festival
Saturday, Sept. 20, the ultimate soundtrack for the end of summer! Map and Artist Information available at https://westporch.net WestPorch is a free community music festival where local porches are transformed into stages for regional artists and musicians.
