Local Hospital recognized for quality endoscopy services

The Perth and Smiths Falls District Hospital is proud to be a recipient of the Canadian Association of Gastroenterology (CAG) Quality Endoscopy Recognition program.  The CAG recognized our organization for their active participation and commitment to providing quality endoscopy services. Endoscopy services are provided at both sites of PSFDH.

The recognition is obtained through a national program (i.e. C-GRS) across Canada with 200 sites (hospitals and clinics) and over 500 participating users.  Recognition is based on compliance with 12 areas highlighted by the CAG for the provision of colorectal and gastroscopy endoscopy procedures related to Clinical Quality (i.e. Consent, Safety, Comfort, Procedure Quality, Appropriateness, Communication of Results), and the Quality of Patient Experience (i.e. Equality of access, Timeliness, Booking and choice, Privacy and Dignity, Aftercare, Ability to Provide Feedback).

Congratulations to Dr. Tom Morell and Dr. Robert Del Grande and their office staff along with the entire endoscopy team at PSFDH who work everyday to provide high quality endoscopy services.
